Balloons - Don't Let Them Go
Here at The Party Post we feel no party is complete without balloons. They provide so much joy and atmosphere to a celebration, but they have to be used and disposed of responsibly.
Latex balloons are made from 100% Natural Rubber Latex (NRL), which is collected from the Hevea Brasiliensis Pará rubber trees that are from sustainable Rainforest Alliance Certified and Forest Stewardship Council Plantations. This contributes to building healthy forests, thriving communities and fights climate change. Latex balloons are also 100% biodegradable.
The Party Post does NOT advocate balloon releases!
Eliminating the deliberate release of balloons and promoting the responsible use and disposal is vital for effective environmentally responsible change. Latex balloons are a plant-based product made from natural rubber which does breakdown. However, when balloons become litter they don't degrade sufficiently or quickly enough to prevent possible risk or harm to wildlife.
Please make sure your balloons, whether air-filled or helium inflated, are suitably anchored so that they cannot accidentally be released into the environment and become litter.
Balloon disposal advice;
- Whilst latex balloons are 100% biodegradable, they must still be disposed of with household waste where they will decompose in landfill.
- When finished with, please deflate and cut up your balloons and any ribbon and put in the bin.
Enjoy your party & look after the environment.
